The service

ScribeGrab is a free online tool that transcribes audio and video to text and subtitles automatically. It is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Transcription accuracy varies with recording quality, accents and background noise — always proofread the result. There is also an optional paid month pass, described below; the free tool is not a trial and does not expire.

The Pro month pass

Everything described above stays free. Alongside it we sell an optional month pass for €5. It is a one-off purchase — there is no subscription, nothing renews, and nothing is charged again.

It lasts 30 days, counted from your first file — not from the moment you pay. Buy it tonight and start tomorrow; the clock only begins when you actually transcribe something. An unused pass stays claimable for 90 days, after which it expires unused.
A pass lives in the browser you bought it in. There are no accounts here, so it is stored locally in that browser and sent along with your requests. It will not appear on a second device, in a different browser, or in private-browsing windows, and clearing your site data removes it. If you lose a pass that way, mail us — see below.
What it changes: longer recordings, more at once, AI meeting notes, renaming the speaker labels everywhere at once, Word (.docx) export, several translation languages in one go, results kept for 24 hours instead of 45 minutes, priority in the queue and no ads. It does not change the transcription quality — the free tool and a pass run the same model on the same hardware.
Meeting notes are written by AI from your own transcript. They can miss nuance, an action item or a name; read them before you send them round. They are a starting point, not a record of the meeting.
Payment is processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.). We are the seller: VAT is included in the price and accounted for by us, and we email you a receipt after payment. We never see or store your card details.

Refunds. If the tool didn't do what this page says it does, mail [email protected] with the order reference from your confirmation email and we will refund you — we would rather return €5 than argue about it. If the service is unavailable for a meaningful part of your 30 days, ask and we will extend the pass or refund it. Because a pass is a digital service that starts the moment you use it, the statutory right of withdrawal ends once you transcribe your first file; before that, an unstarted pass can always be refunded on request.

Fair use

Only upload media you have the right to transcribe.
No automated bulk use, no attempts to overload the GPU queue.
We may block traffic that threatens the stability or legality of the service.

Copyright

Transcribing a file does not grant you rights you didn't already have. You are responsible for how you use the transcript and subtitles, including any publishing or distribution.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScribeGrab is not liable for any damages arising from use of the service, including transcription errors or loss of files. Files are processed automatically and deleted shortly after; keep your own originals.
