TurboScribe's free plan allows three transcriptions a day, 30 minutes per file, one file at a time, with free jobs behind paying users in the queue. That is what its pricing page said when we checked on 5 August 2026. On 2 October 2026 the page blocked our automated check (HTTP 403), so we could not re-confirm it; its own search listing still shows 3 files a day of up to 30 minutes and Unlimited at $10 a month billed yearly ($120 a year). ScribeGrab's figures below come from our own code.

No account at any point, 10 transcriptions a day for free, files up to 60 minutes and 1.5 GB, no watermark, TXT plus SRT and VTT subtitles from every upload, and speaker labels for two to eight voices, all in about 100 languages detected automatically. The pass is a one-off €5 for 30 days, not a subscription, and adds files up to 4 hours, meeting notes, real speaker names, a .docx export, translation into five languages at once and no ads. The free site shows ads; that's how it stays free. There's no TurboScribe login or app to download here either: the whole thing runs in a browser tab, on phone or desktop.
We measured our own speech model on 60 fragments of LibriSpeech test-clean, a standard set of clearly read English with official transcripts: 1.94% of words wrong, so about 98.1% right. Read speech is easier than most real uploads, so treat that as a best case. We have not run the same test on TurboScribe, so this page makes no claim about which transcript is better. The TurboScribe AI free plan is the same plan. ScribeGrab's free transcription is roomier on each count: 10 a day, 60 minutes per file and two files at once.

No. Turnscribe is a separate transcription service (turnscribe.com), not TurboScribe; the names are easy to mix up. ScribeGrab is another free option: 10 recordings a day, no account, and the audio-to-text tool is right above.
Video transcription works the same way in both: the speech is taken from the video's audio track and the picture is ignored. ScribeGrab can also keep the picture if you want subtitles burned into it, so you can transcribe video and caption it in one upload.
